I especially enjoy receiving Common Cents, John Norris’s weekly commentary into my inbox as well as his podcast, Trading Perspectives. These resources continuously bring an additional layer of knowledge and expertise to the breadth of Oakworth’s services.

Transitioning to Oakworth was an easy decision for me. I’ve been with them three years now and can’t imagine doing business anywhere else.

Oakworth’s personal service and attention to customer needs are what set it apart from other banks. They make an exceptional effort to make it easy to do business. By “easy” I don’t just mean transactional. I am on a cane and have trouble walking. The staff comes out to my car to greet me and help do my transactions. Where all the other banks are trying to get their customers to use automation (ATMs, etc.) and closing their drive-through windows, Oakworth is stepping up the relationship banking concept and emphasizing personal banking. We feel comfortable knowing that Oakworth hires professionals who know their stuff and are respectful to deal with. A good example is our favorite teller at our previous bank. We looked up and there she was at Oakworth! And our client advisor is always upbeat, positive and enthusiastic. I enjoy his energy and “get it done” attitude.

In addition to banking, Oakworth offers valuable wealth management and advisory services. They introduced us to their wealth management team, who performed a comprehensive review on our insurance and estate plan. There were gaps that needed filling and issues that needed updating within our estate documents. There were trusts that had not been recently reviewed and tax law changes requiring documents to be updated. Everyone we met with at Oakworth was informed, professional and flexible in meetings. Not only did they work with us to update and improve our estate documents, but they also helped us navigate and better understand our tax situation. This kind of team support gives us comfort in being able to use the full capabilities of the bank.
