Rebekah Elgin-Council

Ms. Elgin-Council is the current Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, where she has been employed since 1994. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alabama and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Ms. Elgin-Council serves on many boards in the community including the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, the Alys Stephens Center, the United Way of Central Alabama and the World Games 2021 Organizing Committee Board.  She is an alumnus of Leadership Birmingham and Momentum Leadership. Ms. Elgin-Council is also a past board member for Birmingham AIDS Outreach, Birmingham Museum of Art and Birmingham Education Foundation.
