Mr. Ray has a rich family history in banking and it comes as no surprise that he continues to successfully build his own career in the commercial banking space throughout the Central Carolinas. A Cincinnati native, Mr. Ray grew up in Naples, FL., earning his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Florida. He began his banking career at Fifth Third Bancorp in 2015. In the past eight years with Fifth Third, he worked as a retail personal banker, commercial credit analyst, associate relationship manager and, most recently, commercial relationship manager, assistant vice president. His roles with Fifth Third brought him to the Charlotte area in 2017 after serving relationships throughout Florida.
Mr. Ray serves as vice president for membership of the Charlotte Construction Financial Management Association and supports multiple local charities. He and his wife, Katy, live on a farm outside of Charlotte in Cherryville, North Carolina with their son, Brody. When out of the office, Mr. Ray enjoys spending time with family, working on his farm, bird hunting or being on the lake.
