Why did you choose to work with Oakworth Capital Bank?
Trey Lindley: Oakworth reached out to us not long after we launched our firm. At the time, we already had a banking relationship, but there were a few recurring pain points. Oakworth persisted in the best way possible. They stayed engaged, introduced us to the right people and took the time to understand both our business and our personal needs. That persistence—and follow-through—ultimately led us to transition our relationship to Oakworth, and we’ve been very happy with that decision.
Harrison A. Lord: It’s the friendliness and familiarity of Oakworth – I’ve always preferred banking relationships where people know you and know your business. A lot of the things I valued in past community banks—the accessibility, the personal attention—are the same things I value about Oakworth.
What has your experience been like since making the transition?
Trey: We get prompt, personal attention. If the person we are working with doesn’t have the answer, they loop in someone who does. I’m never left waiting or having to follow up for answers.
Harrison: It’s very much a small-town bank in a big city. When you call, you know who you’re talking to. If someone else needs to be involved, you’re introduced and included in the conversation, not just transferred over. It’s all very high-touch, very relationship-focused. They explain what’s going on at every step, which builds a lot of trust.
How does Oakworth support your law practice?
Harrison: Accuracy and attention to detail matter. With our previous bank, we were told they were experienced with law firms, but we still had to monitor things closely. At Oakworth, we don’t have those issues. They understand how law practices operate and stay on top of the details.
Trey: Their attentiveness to detail didn’t decline after they gained our business. It actually got better and has only increased as we continue to explore what other business we can do together. Most importantly, we are able to focus on our clients and our work, rather than managing the banking relationship ourselves.
What would you tell other professionals considering Oakworth?
Trey: Having a personal relationship with your banker and knowing someone is paying attention makes a real difference. It’s reassuring to know that there’s a team that cares about maintaining the relationship, not just earning it.
Harrison: I tell people all the time they should be banking with Oakworth! It’s an easy, comfortable relationship that supports our practice and helps us do what we do better.
