Garrett A. Powe

Mr. Powe joined Oakworth Capital Bank’s Commercial Banking team in Mobile with extensive experience in financial services and management. Prior to joining Oakworth, he served as Senior Vice President and Commercial Banking Officer at ServisFirst Bank, where he managed a diverse commercial loan and deposit portfolio. In this role, he consistently exceeded performance goals and was recognized with the bank’s 2023 and 2024 Top Producer Award. 

A native of Selma, Alabama, Mr. Powe began his banking career in Northport, Alabama, as a loan officer with First South Farm Credit, then held progressive roles with Cadence Bank in Tuscaloosa. Before entering banking, he worked in the U.S. farm-raised catfish industry, where he gained valuable financial and operational management experience. 

Mr. Powe is deeply engaged in the Mobile community, serving as president of the Rotary Club of Mobile and treasurer of Friends of Magnolia Cemetery. He is also active with several civic and nonprofit organizations, including the Literacy Coalition of South Alabama, First Light Community, and United Way of West Alabama. In recognition of his professional and community leadership, Mr. Powe has been honored as one of Business Alabama’s 2023 Rising Stars of Banking and Mobile Bay’s 40 Under 40 in 2020. An active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Mr. Powe serves as a vestry member, acolyte advisor, usher, and confirmation mentor and is on the Standing Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast.  

Outside of work, Garrett is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing and golf. He and his wife Patricia have two children.
