Emma Woodford

Since joining Oakworth, Ms. Woodford has taken the lead in partnering with our leaders in the growing Middle Tennessee and Central Carolinas to support their talent strategies. She began her career at Regions Bank, where she developed a foundation in human resources and campus recruiting for emerging talent programs. She later held business development and relationship management roles with Community Bank and a local startup before joining Northwestern Mutual, where she advanced to director of selection. Throughout her career, Ms. Woodford has focused on recruiting strategy, talent development, and helping organizations attract and retain top talent. 

Active in the Birmingham community, Ms. Woodford serves on the Mountain Brook Chamber Junior Board and the UAB O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center Young Supporters Board. She is a member of the Ballet Guild of Birmingham and longtime supporter of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama, where she previously served as Junior Board president and vice president and continues to volunteer and support fundraising initiatives. 

She and her husband, Woody, are active members of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She has a variety of interests, including playing mahjong, needlepointing, reading, home renovation projects, and spending time with family and friends.
