Not Seeing the Forest for the S&Ps?

The S&P 500 recently hit an all-time high, and was up over 10 percent for the 1st Quarter. When I looked at my 401K, and did some math, it looks as though my account was up closer to 5 percent, if that. I complained to our office manager about the investment options, but he just shrugged his shoulders. What can I do?

I don’t know the investment options in your company’s plan or how you have invested your money. However, I do know there has been a lot of ink about the recent performance of the U.S. stock market, and it seems everyone is making money hand over fist. Everyone but you of course, right?
